I have a masters in literature and linguistics. After university, I studied photography. There’s not that much difference. It’s about stories and interacting with a (imaginary) public.

Incidentally, I don’t care much about reality when I photograph. Somebody once asked Walker Evans “Do you think it’s possible for the camera to lie?“. He answered “It certainly is. It almost always does.” There you have it. Walkers didn’t like the fact that it always lies, but I do, there’s too much reality anyway.
