this is lina, a swedish transient, she has a whole set of theories on belly button fluff. apparently, she loves the stuff, she researches every aspect of it: color, consistency, origin…

Here she’s depicted making a well known gesture indicating that she’s hatching a cunning plan. Which is nice. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of cunning now and then. It also shows that her activities go well beyond the fascinating world of belly button fluff. I mean, fluff is ok, but hardly something you associate with cunning plans.

Incidentally, lina was also kind enough to allow me to photograph her for ‘The Cast’, a project I’m working on. But more on that later.
